GenMce XT -is designed to work alongside a Mackie or alongside GenMce. So you need one of those... to use this. |

Insert your controller image here! Could be anything. |

If you already have a mackie, and can't afford a mackie eXTender, add GenMceXt. Then take multiple controllers and have them act like a mackie + eXTender.
Most daw software has a control surface of mackie control universal and a mackie control extender, but not all.

Instead of using savihost, use VSTHOST.
Drag genmce.dll and genmcext.dll to the vsthost window.
Set up your midi in and midi outs routine.
Set up GenMce and GenMceXT
If you have 1 controller, choose the same midi input, for both GenMce and GenMceXT.
If you have two controllers, set GenMce input from 1 of those and for GenMceXT select a different midi input.
Set up GenMce midi output to one midiyoke port and GenMceXT to another midiyoke port.
Set up daw to use mackie control for GenMce 1-8, and mackie control xt for GenMceXT - 9-16 using the midiyoke outputs as inputs in your daw.
This screen shot is for version 1.53 and 1.511 The setup is the same for 1.61 (new screen shot coming someday...)
Old screen shots need to be updated.
Just make sure your software can take multiple control surface inputs and has mackie XT (or extender) listed as well.
You will need to save your setups as well.
This procedure is still experiemental, but sure sounds good.
There is not much in the .pdf manual on doing this, there has been NO interest in this, it has been updated to version 1.632.
