New Mackie Presets for BCR2000 and Ableton Live 5.0ab - (12.20.08)

New presets is based on 4.1 below, however has a few new features - Version 5.0ab

• Now contains two presets - #21 and #22 see layout below for differences. This will overwrite preset 21 and 22 on your bcr.
• Added 8 d.pots by stefan_soundstudies - this is so cool!
• 8 cusor up/down rotary encoders (bankable) that auto select track, for selecting clip, then push knob to fire selected clip - from an idea by peter_resolent.

Mackie emulation preset for bcr2000 +Ableton Live - Created and transferred with Bcmanager 1.4.

New preset created on 6.9.08 - version 4.1

BCR2000+Live_ver4.1 is ready, it does not match the layout on the video below, it does match the screen shot above. Manual revised 6.15.08

What is new - try it, you will like the improvements.

• Be aware this preset overwrites preset #2 on your bcr2000, back up your BCR2000 presets - first!
• Scaled back to 1 preset
• See image above, for new layout.
• Added functions by using knobs as buttons -via sysex. (thanks to Royce's advice and Mark's editor )
• Think of them as rotary switches. They do one thing when turned clockwise and a different thing when turned counter clockwise. (see .pdf for more info on this)

  • cursor < + >, and up down.
  • View clip-fx/bottom, browser/arrange-session
  • previous marker, next marker.
  • punch in/out
  • undo/redo
  • home/end
  • So the bottom row from the image has 6 rotary switches.
• Moved faders to top row,
  • Bar led's indicating levels.
• Resolution changed, if you turn knob slow = slow increments, fast = large value changes. In fact, can go whole range with quick twist.
• Vpots moved to 3^rd row from bottom.
  • Similar resolution adjustments. Quick twist = whole range, slow = small changes in value.

Here is a demo of the BCR2000 in mackie mode controlling Ableton Live ver. 6.01.

This You Tube demo does not reflect current placement of controls. However, it gives a good demonstration of how things work with mackie control. RTFM included with preset.
