Generic Mackie Control Emulator

* 5.15.09 - New program - FreeMce - PC keyboard to Mackie Control Emulator. Perfect if you don't own a controller or need something really portable.

**5.13.09 - Development on GenMce version 1.7 has not begun... Life and work and FreeMce (above) have occupied my time...
Java, cross platform solution sought - any helpers out there please click here.

I am always looking for collaborative music projects (ambient/electronic/collage/organic) - Here is a sample, email me if interested

Version 1.632 - Notes

I no longer use GenMce, I found the BCR2000 is an excellent controller. I have created a mackie preset and have been revising, that works very well. It has midi feedback. If you have $129 to spare on a controller, buy one.

  • This page and the software will remain active here for those of you that need this kind of tool.
  • Static support is at the forum.
  • Check out the setup movies on the Screen Shots page.
  • BUG - bug found - midi notes will not switch the multi function mute selects, or the vpot selects... I don't know why...
    Controllers work fine.
This is only an issue if you plan to use midi notes to change the function of the mulit function mutes or vpot selects. (This will not be fixed as I lost the skins and the source files for some of the modules, sorry.
  • Thanks to 5 people who donated a few bucks.

Great for Ableton Live, Cubase Nuendo, Tracktion, Sonar (working well now), Audition, Cool Edit Pro, Reaper, Reason and others.

"Hi!
Just writting some words to the developer of this great application. Only five minutes after installing GenMce+MidiYoke and i´m able to control Ableton Live 6 with a Korg Microkontrol" ..."Thank you very much." -llamaza says, in the old forum.

"Hi,
I just wanted to say thank you for this great utility. Set up between my AKAI DPS24 and REAPER was a breeze. The DPS24 has very limited midi control function, but it's enough to make things run more smoothly with REAPER, thanks to GenMce. No major CPU hit on my AMD 64x2 4200 either.
So, thanks again for a great program." - don says in the current forum.

PC only.
